In 2019, the University of New Hampshire uncovered a cache of never-before-seen images of the reclusive author, J.D. Salinger, best known for his cult classic novel The Catcher in the Rye. The University unveiled these images to the public in conjunction with the centennial anniversary of Salinger's birth. The images, all taken within one sitting by Lotte Jacobi, were part of a shoot for the cover of Catcher, and only one of them has been publicly seen until the reveal in 2019.
These 18 images are available for license under our standard editorial terms, or for scholarly and educational use.
